September 7-11, 2016:
Mid-West Regional Conference

Wyndham Indianapolis West, Indianapolis, Indiana

PTG Regions 4 & 5* are hosting a joint-region conference. This is the second time they have done this, and they hold it every other year. Many well-known instructors will be instructing, including Randy. Randy will be teaching two classes: Wednesday night (opening night), 7-8 pm, Randy will be teaching a “mentoring” class, How to Be a Mentor – How to be An Apprentice. Each person attending will receive a copy of Randy’s training book on the subject, as well as information about working with apprentii legally. We are also serving pizza, by the way. Randy is also teaching a one-day (all day) tuning seminar, From A to RPT, covering topics from basic tuning techniques for both vertical and grand pianos, temperament, tuning for stability, treble and bass tuning, using various types of ETDs for learning and regular tuning, and preparing to take and pass your RPT Tuning Exam. (Classes subject to change as details are worked out.)

* Regions 4 & 5 basically cover the Central US from the Plains States, North & South Dakota down through Nebraska, plus Colorado in the West, and North Central US area from Illinois and Wisconsin, down through Minnesota, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. This seminar is held every other year, and they put in a lot of planning time, to make sure to have two years worth of technical classes, and fun, rolled into the one event. If you are within driving distance of Indianapolis, or even if you are not, you do not want to miss this conference.
