All course packages include the Randy Potter School Training Manual, Lessons and Examinations, Six 2-hour Training DVDs, Eleven (11) Auxiliary Texts including the Randy Potter School Apprentice Training Manual, the “G” Piano Works Repair Labor Guide, The Mentoring Book and the Piano Technicians Guild Piano Action Handbook plus seven more texts. Course also includes Vertical and Grand Action Charts, Manufacturers’ Piano Brochures, Manufacturers’ Technical Service Manuals, Apprentice Training Assistance, Online Newsletters, Subscription to our TunEmail List, Lifetime Consultation Services, Use of the school’s Video/DVD and Audio Tape Loaning Library, Job Placement Assistance and Diploma upon completion of the course.
Beginning Students also receive a Vertical Action Model, Tuning, Repairing and Regulating Tools, and Repair Parts and Supplies. (Students have the option to decline the tools, repair parts and supplies.) All students can enroll with a Single Payment option OR with a multi-payment plan / Student Loan Agreement.
We also have a Continuing Education Program for technicians who have at least one year of prior training and experience, and want to upgrade their knowledge, skills, and provide more complete service for their clients. Many of our Continuing Education Program Students have been working as technicians for many years, but have not been able to gain the skills and training necessary to be able to pass the Piano Technicians Guild Registered Piano Technician Exams. They take this course to prepare them to take, and pass, those exams.

Continuing Education Program
Continuing Education Program Technicians are those who have already taken a basic course in piano tuning and repair from either a residence or correspondence school, have had apprentice training, and/or have at least one year of practical tuning experience. Eligibility entitles student to a $400 discount/credit for previous training/experience which is applied to the Complete Home Study Course without the Tools, Parts, Repair Supplies and the Vertical Action Model.
